Kolkata, 30th May 2020: Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading module manufacturers and a prominent EPC & rooftop solar solutions provider has extended a helping hand to aid the needy after the disastrous effects of the super cyclone Amphan dealt a damaging blow to West Bengal. The company has come forward to make a contribution to the West Bengal State Disaster Management Authority as an aide to help the people of the state impacted by this super cyclone. Additionally, in association with The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the company has also committed to the distribution of dry food, sanitary products, and other relief materials like tarpaulin sheets to the affected areas pan in West Bengal.
Cyclone Amphan made landfall near Sagar Island West Bengal on 20th May with speed touching 185 kmph, claiming lives of over 80 people in the state. While thousands of affected families are suffering through the aftermath of the most intense cyclone, the risk of spreading coronavirus is also looming large. Basis the first level need-assessment by Vikram Solar’s team, the company has committed to “Buidling Back Bengal” by reaching out to the maximum number of people possible with help for their immediate needs.
