Government of India honours Vikram Solar with National Excellence Award for Roof Top Solar Power Projects in the Domestic Solar Module Manufacturers Category .
New Delhi, 8 June 2016: Vikram Solar, a globally acclaimed solar PV module manufacturer and EPC solutions provider was awarded the National Excellence Award 2016 for Roof Top Solar Power Projects in the Domestic Solar Module Manufacturers Category by the Government of India. The Award was presented by Shri Piyush Goyal, the Minister of State for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy at the National Workshop on Roof Top Solar Power at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

Vikram Solar commissioned many prestigious rooftop projects in the past year. We designed, engineered, and commissioned a 2 MW plant at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport in Kolkata, which is the largest rooftop airport installation in India. We also executed a 750 kWp solar plant at Calicut International Airport. With education institutes now realising the importance of harnessing solar energy, we commissioned a project at St. Xavier’s college in Kolkata. A rooftop solar plant at the famous Kalighat temple in Kolkata was also executed by us.
