Job Purpose

Drive revenue growth in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) rooftop/ground-mount solar segment and KUSUM Scheme (PM-KUSUM) projects through new client
acquisition, channel development, and government scheme participation, ensuring market share expansion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue C&I clients (factories, warehouses, institutions) for rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations.
  • Drive lead generation and conversion for KUSUM projects through interaction with farmers, DISCOMs, and state nodal agencies.
  • Understand client requirements, propose customized solar solutions, and lead techno-commercial discussions.
  • Participate in state-level tenders, empanelment processes, and subsidy-based schemes under KUSUM Components A, B, and C.
  1. Market & Channel Development
  • Build and manage channel partners/dealers/agents for lead generation and last-mile execution.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities across geographies and segments.
  • Map competition activities and provide insights to develop pricing and positioning strategy.
  1. Tendering & Government Interface
  • Liaise with government bodies, DISCOMs, and MNRE/State Nodal Agencies for KUSUM schemes.
  • Prepare required documentation for bids, EOI, and subsidy claims.
  • Monitor policy updates and eligibility norms across various states and provide inputs to the central strategy team.
  1. Execution Support & Customer Relationship
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, EPC, finance) to ensure timely proposals, contract finalization, and execution.
  • Conduct site visits, stakeholder presentations, and pre-sales technical discussions.
  • Ensure smooth customer onboarding and post-sale service support.

 
Key Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy, MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–8 years of experience in solar project sales, with at least 1–2 years in C&I or KUSUM verticals
  • Familiarity with MNRE guidelines, state-specific KUSUM policies, rooftop net metering, and open access desirable

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and digital sales tools
  • Ability to travel frequently and work in rural/semi-urban markets (for KUSUM)
