MR P. M. PAI

Mr. P. M. Pai served as a Venture Partner of New Enterprise Associates. He joined New Enterprise Associates on August 17, 2009 and focused on energy technology investments. Mr. Pai also served as the Chief Operating Officer at SunPower Corporation from April 2005 till July 2008 as responsible for strategic planning, production expansion, and supply chain development on a worldwide basis. Prior to SunPower, he served as the President at Moser Baer India Ltd., where he established and ramped up annual manufacturing and distribution and developed world-class raw material sourcing and logistics efforts.

He served as a Director of two NEA portfolio companies Imergy Power Systems, Inc. and Suniva, Inc. He has 30 years of mass production experience, including manufacturing scale-up for IBM, Tata and Xerox. Mr. Pai holds an M.Tech Industrial Engineering, with distinction, from IIT Madras, an Advanced Management Program (ISMP) at Harvard Business School, and graduated from Mysore University, India, where he graduated first class with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
